Local Businesses Invited to Sponsor Hispanic Heritage Month Gala Dinner
The Latino Task Force of Monroe County (LTF) is providing an opportunity for area businesses to reach out to the Latino community by inviting them to sponsor the group’s 2008 Hispanic Heritage month gala dinner celebrating “Excellence in Education.”
The Noche de Gala celebration will feature Kutztown University of Pennsylvania President Dr. F. Javier Cevallos as the honored guest. It will be held from 6 p.m. – 11 p.m. on Saturday, September 20th at the Chateau Resort & Conference Center in Tannersville.
There are several levels of sponsorship including the purchase of group tickets, tables, or ads in the dinner journal,
All businesses purchasing sponsor packages will receive seating for guests, an ad in the event journal, recognition during the program and on press releases, and a free listing on the organization’s website for one month. The deadline for journal ads is Friday, August 15.
“Many areas businesses are already sponsoring this event because they want to reach out to the dynamic and growing Latino market and also showcase their Latino employees,” noted LTF President Dagmaris Cabezas.
Proceeds from this event will be used for a Hispanic Scholarship Fund for residents of Monroe County, and will help sustain the work of the task force. Last year’s event honored Secretary of the Commonwealth Pedro Cortes and attracted hundreds of participants. The 2008 gala dinner will feature dancing, an art exhibit by Latino fine artists, and a live auction.
