Butch Davis has added a 26th member to his 2011 football recruiting class at North Carolina with the addition of junior college linebacker Fabby Desir on Tuesday.
Desir, a 6-foot-1, 230-pound native of Scranton, Pa., played the last two seasons at Lackawanna College, where he made 45 tackles and had seven sacks in eight games in 2010. He also recovered two fumbles, including one which he returned 40 yards for a touchdown, forced a fumble and had an interception.
Lackawanna was 9-2 in 2010, and finished No. 12 in the NJCAA rankigs after a 34-20 win over Ellsworth Community College in the Graphics Edge Bowl in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
“This means everything to me,” Desir, who was an all-region defensive back and 1,000-yard running back for Scranton High School as a senior, told the Scranton Times-Tribune newspaper. ”I can start my life now. I am so happy and blessed. It’s very overwhelming. I am going to go and take it very seriously. I am a grown man now, I don’t need a pep talk about how I need to work hard. I know that I have to work hard and I am committed to going to college and getting my degree.”

CONGRATULATIONS FABBY!
