She Accomplished more in 4 Minutes than has been done in 50 years!

Beyonce

Good or bad, black or white, like it or not; Beyonce has accomplished more in 4 minutes to shake up racism in this country then has been done by all of us combined in 50 years! She could have done better, she could have done worse; or she could have sat back and pretended nothing was happening like most everybody else.  Formation has not only rocked the foundation of white dominance in America but has set off a ripple effect around the globe surpassing the highest magnitude of an earthquake on the Richter Scale — She gets a 10.0.

In recent history for Black America, the Black Panthers were the first group to get the NATIONAL ATTENTION of White America and that was over 50 years ago. They effectively outraged and injected fear into the class of white supremacy; but after the Black Panthers were all wiped out along with every other Black leader that was a potential threat of that time, white America has utterly ignored Black America since…that is until Beyonce performed live at the super bowl and in less than 5 minutes she GOT THEIR ATTENTION Nationally!  If we have learned our lesson the outcome will not be the same but the opportunity to do for self is once again upon us.

I strongly believe that if there is going to be change in the black communities around the world, it will be by the might and determination of those in danger of the greatest losses – The Black Woman.  She has shown what one black woman can do; imagine what all Black women can do together under one formation to stop the killings and disrespect.

Salute!

  1. Her new song formation talking bout hot sauce in her bag, swag is a racist comment. Talkin bout how she spinning on them haters albino gators… um she aint talkin bout shoes… then to have black panther inspired dancers in ur routine? Yeah to me this isnt smart. All it does is invoke rage and anger. Those emotions are dangerous… leading to such things as riots and even more separation. What about peace? What about all lives matter? What about other minorities? Just think about it… if a white artist did this oh we wouldn’t be congratulating them.

    1. There is evidence we’ve tried “Peace” for 50 years, yet we are still being lynched by law…that has invoked the rage and anger you speak of. IF ALL LIVES MATTERED cops would not be getting away with murdering children. and finally, If white people were suffering what black people are suffering then I would congratulate AND support any and every white artist who risked to speak out.

  2. 50 years? You need to brush up on your history and facts. I love the attention this brought but don’t crap all over all those who worked hard, sacrificed and made strides since 1966.

She also was not alone. She was the face and I am happy she went for it but you know this was a team effort. What about that part of this was inspired by BLM and the Black Panthers?

Not to take away from Beyonce but you sound like an ignorant super fan who is truly clueless about our history.

  3. Though I agree with the comment about the power of Black Women, but to state “Beyonce has accomplished more in 4 minutes to shake up racism in this country then has been done by all of us combined in 50 years” is a bit sensationalism. It was a great dance routine for millions to see, but pales in comparison to the “shake up” of the 1995 Million Man March. Now, if you state Beyonce’s artistic routine did more than all others in the last 50 years combined, that may be more accurate. What Beyonce did was brave, but let’s put it in it’s proper context. And SNCC was probably the first group (and a leading group in the Civil Rights era) to get National attention of White America in the last 50 years. Taking nothing away from the Black Panthers, as I was a recipient of the breakfast/lunch programs as a child. But there’s a lot of great efforts your readers would overlook with that statement.

  4. Beyonce surely did not derive / create / envision this production in a vacuum.
ONLY with the foundation of the BLMM – Black Lives Matter Movement. Beyonce and JayZ had not heretofore demonstrated much public consciousness of the imperatives of African american Liberation. They both could demonstrate further / growing enlightenment by decreasing the butt-shaking, scantily-clad, non-intellectual productions – their actions like donating $million+ to providing water to Flint, MI residents, huge donations to BLMM, etc.? – notwithstanding

It is very important that such tributes acknowledge the CUUMALATIVE effect of the primary Black Liberation movements – past and present – even with their respective wart and all. Such acknowledgements encourage COLLECTIVE intellectualizations to expose and diminish the “warts” – those factors like questionable supports of the BLMM, and then to identify and implement ways to neutralize the impacts and influences of the “warts.”

    1. Jayz & Beyonce also contributed $1.5 Million to Black Lives Matter and $7 Million to rebuild black communities after Katrina. But the point here is: The Black Panthers was the first group to get the NATIONAL ATTENTION of White America 50 years ago. And after they wiped them out and every other leader that was a potential threat of that time, they have utterly ignored us since…that is until Beyonce performed live at the super bowl and in less than 5 minutes she GOT THEIR ATTENTION Nationally! I’m on your side….DVB

      1. I hear you both and i can agree that beyonce shook up the world, Not just whites but blacks as well. This is to be commended, but to ignore one of the oldest and greatest organizations in the black community is a mistake. The nation of Islam was around in the civil rights era and is the only organization that has not been completely destroyed. In 1995, the MMM sent shock waves that are still being felt today. No shade on Beyonce, I love her, but I’m a little tired of us Not speaking on or even acknowledging all the work the Minister and NOI has put into our community from 1930- current.

    2. I think you should consider how much of a message can be embodied in such a presentation, and understood by the mass audience. Your cerebral critique may be correct, but it is far removed from the realities of the day. She just started the dialogue we should have been having during the last 50 years. Some of us left this hell on earth (America) long ago as one option. You might consider it as an intellectual exercise fit for your pretensions.

  5. BRAVO, STILL CLAPPING FOR BEYONCE. Don’t dictate to her what and who to honor that is being a Nazi. She honored the 50th Anniversary of the Black panthers which is a humanitarian organization, which protected their Black communities and all minorities from police brutality, daily (breakfast lunch and dinner, plus food baskets for those hungry) feed the poor, down throtten, homeless, jobless and anyone in need, no matter what color, creed, religion or race. Thy intelligently e organized and collected funds to feed the hungry, needy, disinfranchaized, forgotten people of all races in their communities. They organized and started the first head start program for their communities, paid the utilities and other ,miscellaneous bills’ of the poor and need in their communities, they educated their communities, feed their communities, gave literature and information of educational and political environment to be aware of and educate about their communities. Most of the Black Panther held doctorate degrees such as co-Found Hue newton which held a Ph.D. in the sciences; they were not uneducated Black people which the non-Black world wants you to think they are by calling their humanitarism; radical, which is incorrect. Educate yourself before posting trash n FB. Most people know the truth. Therefore, your lies are not facts or truth baby.

    1. I’m a bit confused. All that you said about the Black Panthers is absolutely true and they were the first group to get the attention of white people…and that was 50 years ago. since then, after wiping out all our leaders of the past, white people have utterly ignored us. So what I’m saying here is she is the first since then to “GET THEIR ATTENTION” and she did it in less than 5 minutes!
So what lies are you referring to?

  6. I thought her performance was great, both on her own and in combination with the other non-black artists involved in the halftime show… i didn’t see anybody in that stadium complaining either… But the backlash and the fear that has come from the mainly white media personalities since has been very “Surprising” for lack of a better word…. in deeper thought It actually becomes expected… Formation was very symbolic, I didn’t feel any anger or hatred and hear any call to action to incite violence against anybody… Overall the performance came across to me as a pretty positive message… I would have to agree with Ms.Boone, almost a week later and they’re still scared and talking about it….
